For me, abstract art is a deeply personal exploration in conversation with the canvas. I love the freedom of the abstract painting process. It leaves room for the unexpected and demands continuous intuitive creative response. When I start a painting, I don’t usually have a particular goal or vision for the work, but there’s always an “a-ha” moment when I feel like the canvas and I recognize each other, and that’s when the vision starts to come together and resolve.
The evocative nature of abstract art invites the viewer to wonder, imagine, and to have their own personal experience with the work. I believe this creates a unique and meaningful connection between the artist and the viewer through a shared process of self-reflection.
I hope you see something here that inspires you and brings you joy.
